Crews responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a fire at a single-family home in Severn at around 10:50 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.
Upon arrival crews found one male occupant, estimated to be in 60s, dead inside the home. The fire had spread throughout both floors of the building and was under control in about 15 minutes, the department said.
The Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine an official cause of death. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
